From the first expectation to the lasting memory
We see a stay as a sequence of moments: arriving, finding your way, connecting, retreating and resting. Emotional mapping of the guest journey helps us ask what people need to feel and do at each point. A welcoming light, a comfortable seat or a transition towards privacy finds its purpose within that experience.
A sense of belonging to the place
Local culture informs our choice of materials, objects, art and collaborators. We want guests to recognise where they are and find an authentic connection to the destination. An exhibition open to the public, a shared table or a gathering space can bring a hotel and its surrounding community closer, when aligned with its purpose and operations.
Small spaces, meaningful experiences
A welcoming sitting area in the lobby. A reading nook. A quiet pause beside a garden. We design these small ecosystems of emotion and experience through light, colour, touch, acoustics and comfort. We are curious about the psychology behind design: how a space is experienced, what it invites people to do and what may stay in their memory. A signature scent is considered when appropriate for the people, place and service.
Wellbeing throughout the stay
For the Studio, wellbeing is an essential part of luxury service. It is expressed through conditions for rest, lighting that supports different moments of the day and the freedom to choose between company and solitude. A biophilic approach connects interiors with daylight, planting and their surroundings, alongside spaces for contemplation and a slower pace.
A clear vision for each project
We collaborate with owners, operators, architects and developers on new properties and renovations. Our work can begin with a review of a space or guest journey, then progress to concept, interior design development and the selection of furnishings, materials and objects. We agree on phases, deliverables and responsibilities with your team before starting.
Design that supports operations
The guest experience and the work of the people who welcome them are considered together. We address circulation, service, cleaning, maintenance, durability and budget, coordinating decisions with the responsible specialists. We assess each proposal for what it brings to the stay and how it can be sustained day to day. Our intention is to create a place guests want to return to, and that works for the people who make it possible.
